Help -GPS Disabled

I have an ipaq rx3715 with tomtom navigator 3 and tomtom bluetooth gps receiver (9821x) bought dec 2004. it all worked fine until recently when the ipaq hung and needed a hard reset. The ipaq still works fine, but after reinstalling the tomtom software (twice) the GPS is still not working and telling me: GPS Disabled, even after connecting, and after confirmation the reciever is connected. I have tried waiting 20 mins with the gps connected and clear sight to sats, but that makes no difference.

I am out of ideas, so would appreciate any help. I did see something saying there is a known problem with the driver software (i have v3.03 415/408) but now cannot not find any reference to this. the Tomtom site makes no reference (that i can find) to this problem.

how's this for self help.. submitted the same question to tomtom and it automatically suggested a link to the software version 3.07 which i have installed and this has fixed the problem.
