any signal loss when driving in built up areas ? on i3

just thinking of getting a streetpilot i3 and just wondering how the system keps the sat signal,i have a pocket pc with tom tom on it at mo and when i drive through london sometimes i loose the sat signal completlely for a for secs or maybe sometimes longer,now im thinking of getting the streetpilot i3 ao was wwondering how good it keeps the signal even when in londong amonst big buildings? any answers would be great thanks

Any external antenna on the car roof, bonnet or boot will improve your chances of keeping a signal in a City.

Without an external antenna on my visits to the Royal Albert Hall I regularly missed critical junctions!

Now I find that my signal is ten times better with the Gilsson on the bonnet and I obtain a 'lock' onto the satelites very much faster.

Stands to reason that you will lose the signal from time to time!!!
