Have tomtom 5, but which PDA?

I have been lurking a while here, but now feel the need to ask the experts.

If you had a Holux GPSlim236 bt gps, a 512 UltraII sd card and TomTom5, which PDA would you buy?

I don't really need the PDA for anything that my current old Toshiba e570 (PPC 2002 200mhz arm, 64mb) can't already do. But, since foolishly trying to get TTN5 running on that old battered thing I have several concerns :-

It seems TTN5 as compared to 3 uses massive mon-maps (rather than nicely splitting them up). In a modern PPC is an UltraII SD card fast enough and up to the job or should I get an UltraIII?

Is it worth getting CF instead for the maps and forgetting about SD all together?

Whatever I get needs to have built in BT, but I don't need WiFi. Installed Memory needs to be decent to start with (128+).

In my mind at least a few things fit the bill, on the surface of it the Axim x50 (412 xscale, built in BT, decent memory, nice big screen) seems to be the best value - is it up to the task?

What about with loads of POI's and custom sounds?

Has anyone got TTN5 and the axim x50 that would care to share experiences with it?

If it wasn't the Axim, what would you get?
