what are the optimal sd card capacity ?
and any specific speed which brings about best performance from your gps and the pda?

Not only are there implications so far as the capacity/speed to consider (about which I am not an expert), but the manufacturer is also important.
I have access to several SD cards/readers, and what I can say is that not all the cards function correctly in all readers (or is it readers function correctly with all cards!). As such I would always recommend that you purchase from an outlet which will offer a no quibble exchange if you experience any problems. |

I have a question on the back of this one, not as technical though.
Can you use any kind of SD card in the Tom Tom Go ?
I've noticed that there is a copper connector / conductor missing on the angled piece of a normal SD card in comparison to a TT one.
I'm asking this because I have a TT 300 and have just managed to damage the SD card !!!
I had already backed up everything so I'm hoping if I buy a SD card from somewhere I can simply load the software back on.
Is this the case or is it a bit more complex ?
Hope somebody can help !
Kind Regards
Chris - Ossy Blue. |

Chris - you should be able to use most types of card but as mentioned earlier in this thread buy from somewhere that wil exchange it if you have problems with it. |
