TT5, Dell and Multiple Memory Cards

I have a Dell Axim X5, with 512mb SD, TT5 and wired GPS. I'm planning a bike trip to spain next year.... Yippee ! ! !
Question, i can only fit 2 countries on the 512mb SD card, rather than buy a 1GB SD, can i use the Compact Flash card to store the other countries I may need? Will TT5 detect maps on both the compact flash and Sd cards or would they have to be on the same one?

i don't know if it will be able to read from both at the same time but my dad has his TT5 copied onto his 512MB CF card and its running quite happy in his iPAQ 2210 so it should work i think.
