|
|
Just uploaded some POI's to my C310 as a test. How do I delete them? I assumed the Garmin POI Loader would provide a remove option, but it doesn't and I seem stuck with some POI's that I don't want.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

The POILoader will first delete all of your own POIs and then upload whatever is in the direcory you point to. Thereofre to just delete you POIs just run POILoader and point to an empty directory (or one without any .csv files). |

When I do this POI Loader complains and says "There are no data files in the directory. Please specify a directory that contains at least one file with a .csv extension"
If I create a blank .csv file it still won't accept it. Basically I want to zap all my POI data to clean up the unit.
Thanks

select a folder with just one csv file in it. you'll be left with one poi set on the c310, but it's better than 29 redundant ones!

So can u point to an empty directory and wipe the WHOLE lot on the garmin i3 as the guy above suggested?
is it just the C310 u need to leave one file on or does this also apply to the i3?
If u cant wipe them all off then its a bit mickey mouse isnt it ?? why no removal option? |

Some people might ont want any pois on there (or want to put their unit back to its factory fresh state)
Or might want to delete all pois to check they are not causing any software problems?
Although im guessing u can just turn off all pois on the garmin for a little while if you dont want it/them? e.g. you only want it to give directions or it has got a bit too busy with loads of pois turned on??
Thanks |

in that case you only load one poi about 500 miles from your location and this will wipe every thing else of the i3... _________________ *************************** |
