hello everybody, great forum! long time reader first time poster......i emailed tomtom and asked them if the same program on my 6620 will work on a p910 this is what they told me
Dear mister Soares,
Thank you for contacting TomTom customer support.
On our website, you will find a list of phones that will be compatible with Mobile 5. The P910 does not seem to be on the list, though the P910i is. If you telephone is not the P910i, we cannot guarantee our software will work.
On Symbian.com, it appears both the Nokia 6600 and the Sony-Ericsson P910i use the Symbian V7 OS. This means your package for the Nokia 6600 can be used with your new phone, depending on the 'i' behind the model number.
We hope this will answer your questions.
Best regards,
The TomTom Customer Support Team
now is this true, isn't the ui on these phones different, has anybody got this to work????

Well firstly the P910, P910a and P910i are the same phone. The only difference being the market they were sold in i.e. North America, Europe and Asia.
There is a specific Sony P910 version of TomTom Mobile available, I have it running here. The Symbian version that runs on the 6620 is not compatible and it would appear that Customer Support have mislead you here albeit prossibly unknowingly. _________________ Darren Griffin
althoug the operating system may be the same, 7.0, 7.0s or 8.0 in case of nokia 6630, 6680, the interface on top is different, that's why you will need different version of tomtom, specifically for p910.
