I have recently been given a PDA as above. I iam nterested to know what I would need to purchase to utilse the MS Pocket PC as a sat nav in the car.

The PDA that you have been given was one of the best selling PDA's of last year. You can get TomTom, Navman, Destinator, Via Michelin etc. There is a known issue with running TomTom 3 Bluetooth from the SD card.

What you need is:

GPS receiver (would recommend looking at SiRF III based receivers like TomTom Nav 5, Holux 236, GlobalStat 338)
Memory card to hold the maps (your PDA has 2 slots SD (secure digital) CF (compact flash)
Satnav software (as I said they are a lot of different options dependant on your budget/requirements.).
