I left Edinburgh heading for Birmingham last week.
TT5 directed me onto the A1, which surprised me, but then got me to do a U turn and pointed me in the direction of the A74.
Has anyone else experienced this kind if strange behaviour.

I get a similar odd one where I need to turn right but it tells me to turn left then do a U-turn |

I've noticed on a couple of occasions where the voice instructions don't match what's being shown on the map 8O |

When you try to go onto the Northbound M1 at junction 15 from the A508 from Northampton it tells you to Turn LEFT (M1 South) and "take the motorway, then at the end of the road do a U turn" The end of the road is only about 60 miles away in London. If you ignore it you get the turn around message as you go round the roundabout then as you get near to the Norhtbound entry slip road it tells you to take the exit and join the motorway. |

I have similar experience of TT 5 becoming confused. For example, immediately after a right turn, TT 5 instructed an about turn, which I did. I was then told to turn right onto the same road I had just left. After that turn too, I was instructed to turn around and go back down the road on which I had done the first about turn. In other words, I was in a perpetual loop comprising turns and about turns.
There are many situations where the wrong instructions are given. I would be exaggerating if I said that if I had a quid for the number of false "Turn around when possible" instructions I've received since installing TT5 about a month ago, then I might be able to retire early. Hiwever, it seems like it. |
