| Can anyone tell me what speeds TTG uses for various types of road to calculate the journey times? |

About 67 mph for Motorways and fast dual carriageways, and about 56 mph for other A roads. Presumably slower roads at a lesser speed. Note that not all the road speeds are correctly set, what with large areas now restricted to 30 and 40 mph.

Those are presumably average speeds - 'cos when you do a simulation, it shows higher - often illegal! - current speeds?

When I drove at 67 on a Motorway for about 2 hours the ETA remained constant (it wasn't Friday pm, and I wasn't in a hurry).
It has been suggested that the Demo Mode of 75 mph is something to do with the program running at kph speeds. I don't know.

| I could be wrong but I dont think 40mph roads are listed as most of them around here the ETA is over exagerated when driving at 40 |
