I am using a Sandisk Ultra II 256mb at the moment.

As regards GPS navigation, I have found no difference using a cheap 256MB (standard speed) sd card compared to a 60x or 120x speed card.

The 60x & 120x cards are 1GB capacity, but I think that makes no difference to the trial I did.

You PDA will probably limit the read speed to something well below the capability of the card.

It is likely that you will only see the specified speed of a card when it is connected to your PC in a dedicated card reader.

Formatting the card may however make a difference to performance in your PDA.

TomTom Navigator versions 2 & 3 never used to get on with slow cards. Cards currently on sale today all seem to be faster, have higher capacity, and be a lot cheaper, so I don't think such problems exist any more.
