Hi All

Have I got this correct please

1...Download the file pocketgps_uk_sc_oct05.zip

2...Unzip it to a folder

3...Now this is where I'm confused
After I have upzipped it I see a load of folders

alternative bmp files
asc.files
csv files
ov2 bmp files
single file version
speed zoned
wav files
xls files

After reading LOADS of post's in here I think I have it correct.

My setup is a Mio 168
With Tom Tom NAv version 5.1

So I goto the folder called "ov2 bmp files" and copy all of those to
my Great_Britain_Plus-Map on my sd card

Then goto the folder called "SPeed" zoned and do the same.

Then start TomTom nav 5.1 up

Is this correct

Regards

Mary

Hi Mary

The files you need depend on whether you want speed warnings at the camera locations or just camera locations.

If you want TTN5 to warn you of the location & speed then use the ov2 & bmp files found in speed zoned\gatso\ov2 bmp files, speed zoned\mobile\ov2 bmp files plus the red light, specs (continental, if req'd) & temp ov2 & bmp files found in the ov2 bmp files directory.

If you just want the location (no speed warning) then just the ov2 & bmp files found in the ov2 bmp files directory.

Get the voice file for the speed warnings from http://www.rayflanagan.co.uk/voicesound.html they are good & free.

Hope this helps

Norman

PS you will have to set the warnings up for each type in TTN5.

Hi Norman

Many thanks for the very detailed information

I have now got all the "location & speed" files in place and working

One thing I cannot get my head round is this

I goto "Warn when near POI

Select (for example) "20 pocketgps uk"
I box comes up saying "Remove warning" I so NO
Select 270 yrds then done
NOW this is the bit I do not get
If I select BEEP2 I get "Gatso ahead speedlimit 40 miles hr"
But if I select "Boing" I get " warning Mobile ahead speedlimit 60 miles hr"

So how do I know which sound to put with the "20 pocketgps uk"

Sorry to be so dum BUT I am a Blond ha ha ha

Yes thank you for that url, I had got in touch with Ray over the files and he sent me the correct url for my setup.

What a nice fellow he is.

Regards

Mary

hi Mary

There is a text file on Ray's site which tell you what warning is assigned to each sound. Due to the limitations of TTN5 there is not enough slots for every type of camera. I just use the basic warning for those that don't have an asigned warning (gatso 20 is one I think so I just use warning gatso ahead)

Yes Ray is very helpful, I do not require red light warnings so he replaced that sound with 'Point of interest ahead' for use with all other POIs.

:D :D Top Man Ray :D :D

Mary, you need to select the correct voice respective to the camera type, there is no specific voice for the gatso 20, so select the warning gatso prompt instead (cow or other such stupid name) use the test button each time, it gets easier with experience - glad you got it working as yesterday's post was interesting, keep it going - you will get there - which voices did you use in the end?
