Okay, as you all sit there all smug whilst your TomTom runs happily on batteries- mine went from excellent battery life to 10 minutes in about 2 weeks.
WHERE CAN I GET A REPLACEMENT! I will fit it myself!
Okay, you can power it using the car adaptor but I don't want power wires hanging over the stereo
Tomtom are you listening, you are not answering my support requests!
Any users in the same boat as me? It's driving me crazy

The guys at satnav-shop.com can post me a replacement for about £15. Arm yourself with a torx screwdriver and thats a cheap fix! |

stevebag -
How have you been using it? Charging at home and using in the car, then letting the battery get low before charging again? _________________ Richard

The TTGO comes with a 2 year warranty but for £15 I guess that's the easy option. _________________ Ray

I suppose I've myself to blame. 2hr charge, then use it until it's flashing battery low. I've heard this is a problem with Lithiun Ion batteries.
A few weeks befor the problem my 3yr old twice turned the tomtom on and left it in a cupboard until the batteries were dead. |

Problem battery problem solved... didn't need a replacement battery (although I did buy one).
Stripped my TomTom classic and took out the battery. Fiddled around with it, it's got a small circuit board on one of the edged of the battery. Squoze (is that a word?), squeezed the two ends of the battery, re-assembled and did a full charge. We are now back on full charge... 4 or so hours on a full charge.
Needless to say, I've got a spare battery for a TomTom Go Classic for £15 (+post) if anyone wants it!

If possible keep it fully charged, it will keep longer. _________________ Richard
