I managed to get my navman 3000 and TT5 working.. but all of a sudden I cannot get a fix on the satelites. sometimes 3 or 4 fixes are made, but cannot get a fix all the time. a 50 minute journey it couldn't get a fix, motorway travel, and other times can get a fix in 10/15 mins for a few minutes then its lost.??
Can anyone give me an exact guide on what to install, what to switch off etc.. so I can do a clean install, and see how that goes. |

I have the Navman 3.1.6 driver loaded and when setting up the GPS in TTN5, I use 'Other serial GPS' and select Navman Driver at 4800 baud. _________________ Tim |

doesn't seem to help.. at first thought it maybe my navman might have packed up... late last night I thought that was the case, but reverted back to TT3 and this morning got a fix. Got me to work which is a 45 minute journey, took about 15 mins to get the signal, because it was a cold fix, but didn't loose anything.
I really do want TT5 to work on my machine.. any other suggestions??? |

HI,
There is a known issue with the Navman GPS 3400 and Tomtom 5 where the data from the jacket is not read/interpreted correctly.
The problem is the driver in TomTom 5 is crap with the Navman jacket and the solution is to install TomTom 5 without the Tomtom driver but to use the navman driver.. I'm not clear on the process but some info is starting to appear on the internet. |
