Which CF Receiver....the Haicom HI-305N?

Hi

I'm new to the world of GPS and have been looking to purchase a CF receiver.

My preference at the moment is for the Haicom HI-305N (Numerix chipset as opposed to the Sirf III chipset). The reason for this is that at the moment I want to use it for my laptop, but will ultimately want it for a PDA. Therefore power consumption and the facility to also hold an SD with the maps etc is important to me.

The stats for the HI-305N's performance look good, I was just wondering what others thought.

I don’t use the CF receivers that often, I persontally prefer to use Bluetooth or cabled receivers as they suit my needs better. If you do go and buy a Haicom receiver, make sure you buy it from a legitement company in the UK as if the unit goes faulty within the first year you will have to return for repair/replacement and I don’t think you want to send to Taiwan.
