Keeps trying to connect to my Bluetooth chip on

I like to plan my routes before I go out but it’s a pain Evil or Very Mad

when tomtom keeps trying to connect to my Bluetooth chip on. How can I stop it keep trying to connect is there a registry fix like with ver 3 ?

That's strange. For me, this was one of the improvements in TT5. TT3 immediately bombed out if it couldn't talk to the Clip-On, so I had to have it handy whenever I wanted to browse the map. TT5 runs without it on my HP iPAQ 4150. It also switches Bluetooth on automatically, something I often forgot to do previously.

Not sure if this is your issue, i.e. you can't plan a route unless you have a connection to the GPS...?

You can get around this limitation by choosing Advanced Planning, and specifiying a start and end point. It will then calc a route without needing a GPS signal.

Mine is just happy to sit there with "No GPS device!" at the base of the map, doesn't keep searching, and as has already been said, use advance planning, and start from home.

Thanks - Yes i can plan with Advanced Planning no problem but the bluetooth keeps poping up and tries to connect I have to keep pressing cancel each time it pops up, eventually it gives up ! any idea how I can stop it trying to connect.

sounds like you only have the bt gps set up in tomtom, and the pda may need the bt & pda set as a secure conection?

this is a thought, maybe no use at all

I had the same problem till I installed TTN5.1 and Bing the problem went away.
