Apologies if his has been asked elsewhere but this is really starting to wind me up!

I have just bought a Fortuna Slim to use with TT5 and an iPaq 4700. The devices appear to be paired correctly but no matter what I do the iPaq refuses to connect to the GPS receiver. I've tried everything I can think of and was beginning to feel happy(!) that the unit was faulty so to check this I tested the receiver with a friends Dell xV50 with the same TT5 and bluetooth settings and it worked first time! Furthermore other applications on my iPaq which make use of GPS such as pocket streets and pocket earth refuse to connect to the receiver too.
As I said both the iPaq and the Dell were had the device pairing set up in the same way, with TT5 configured the same, the only difference being the actual numbers of the bluetooth ports used - the only thing I can now think of is that there must be some kind of a Bluetooth issue with my iPaq - can anyone help?

You might have tried this:

Click on tomtom navigator
Tap on the screen and select Change Preferences (big spanner)
tap the black triangle until it says Preferences 4 of 6
Select Configure
This is the stupid part Select "other cable NMEA GPS" yeah thats right CABLED
GPS Baud Rate 4800 and select DONE
Select the correct bluetooth port, if you cannot see the number tap and hold and then you will see what number.

You will notice a small orange and black circle at the top right this will start to spin if you are connected to the GPS if it does not spin then soft reset the PDA and try again.

Edited due to customer feedback

if it still fails and you are going from 3-5 then try below.

Process:
- uninstall Nav 5
- Reinstall Nav 3
- Install 3.07 patch (if not already installed as above)
- Remove TomTom Navigator ONLY from the remove programs list.
- Reinstall Nav 5
- Run Navigator, go to GPS setup and, for me at least, use tomtom bluetooth selection.

If you try all that and it does not work, connect the GPS in BT manager and then launch tomtom 5 and say if you get no GPS or GPS signal was lost.
