OK - trying a new BlueTooth device as the solar powered unit didn't seem to want to work. Bought a GlobalSat BT-338 - but TT5 will not see it. Neither will the GPS program that came with it - GPSInfo. However the old TT3 GPS program will This is set to a SirfIII on COM8
In TT5 the connection is set to "Other Cable NMEA GPS" at a BAUD rate of 38400 on Bluetooth Serial Port COM8.
Any ideas anyone - this is the second BT device I've tried and I'm rapidly getting disillusioned with the system..... |

Hi Ranger_Neil,
Have you paired the BT-338 to the 3970?

no pairing/bonding required.
- set the receiver to NMEA mode (NOT SiRF mode!!!)
- remove the TTN3 GPS driver. _________________ Lutz

Use SiRFDemo on the PC or WinFast Navigator on the Pocket PC to switch protocols. _________________ Lutz
