Adding waypoints [SpeedCamera locations] has never interfered with the mapping software as far as I know!
If you add one waypoint and it does not changed your mapping then 7000 will not be any different.
If you are adding the 'overlay' speed camera data, then this 'could' change your maps on the SD card. However, there are ways around that.
What is MapSource version 7?
As far as I am aware there is only version 6.9. Are you referring to CitySelect v7? |

Yep, I meant CitySelect 7. When I upload the camera files to tne Quest (with harddrive, no SD card) it deletes the previously loaded maps _________________ Garmin Quest|Ram Mount|Yamaha TDM900

Have you updated the unit from the Garmin download page?
Have you seen the POI software? |

Got the latest (June) updates Strumble. I know that the Quest automatically deletes previous maps by default when you add new ones but I was loking at any way I can keep V& on whilst uploading the latest camera info

Only seems to be suitable for Quest 2, there's an ongoing thread about this POI topic in the Quest forum.
Maybe I'm doing something stupid or there is no way to remedy this as the software always seems to overwrite all previous maps. As I found out the hard way earlier this year when I unintentionally deleted all my European maps and hotels route the night before I took off for a European bike trip by showing a friend how the Quest works and uploading some local maps from Mapsource! _________________ Garmin Quest|Ram Mount|Yamaha TDM900
