Plain Map View

On ttg500 is there an option to just look at the map as you are driving eg seeing what street you are oun and poi etc or do you have to have a route planned to look at the map view many thanks andgps.

you can just cruise and display the map either in 2D or 3D. There's a function "Clear Route" that, well, clears the route.

after clicking that will it take you to map view of do you have to do something else?

no, it will stay in the navigation screen , but without route it will just be cruising .
