Can only get 3 or 4 yellow segments lit - will not get a fix. Happened all day today. Is it likely a satellite is down?

Stuff,

You don't mention if the lack of satellite fix as being inside a vehicle or external to the vehicle.

Firstly, if your issue is when in a vehicle, try standing external to the vehicle and see if the satellite fix improves. If this is the case, it may be that inside the vehicle, the antenna is not getting enough view through the front windscreen, and may need repositioning to get a better reading. Also if this poor satellite fix is inside a vehicle, it could be that the windscreen is athermic (has a metalized coating) and hence would possibly need an external antenna.

Best Regards,
Denis

Are you based in Oz? As there used to be a user on the Navman forum of the same name who was lived there.
