Hi,
I have a tosh e400 running medion navigator and have recently purchased a rikaline gps receiver/charger cable.
I am having problems in getting the PDA to recognise the gps.
Thus far I have tried the driver that is available on Rikalines website (pl2303) but when I try to install I get an error message saying that it is not compatible with my operating system (pocket pc 2003).
Is there a recommended driver for PPC 2003? or any other ideas....

Hello and
Is that the error that says that the selected software may be for a previous version of the operating system, but allows you to press OK? If so, what happens if you press OK - that error is usually completely benign. Do things work then?

It does seem to work when I press OK but Medion still has "GPS!" in the top right corner - apparently this means that it cannot see the GPSr.
I am also using GPSdash - and I may be having some progress.
If I set it to COM2, 4800 NMEA, I do get something more legible on the data screen... GPGSV, $GPRMC messages and the like - is this a sign of progress....
If so, then I guess I have to figure a way of getting medion to talk to Com2......

Please post a few lines of the NMEA data stream. Maybe your receiver is not sending some of the NMEA sequences that the Navigon program needs. _________________ Lutz

Are you sure that no other program is running in the background when you try the Medion? Do a soft reset, start the Medion software and try to configure the GPS again. _________________ Lutz
