Hi People, hope you can help me.....

I "found" a new Mobile saftey camera ont eh way home lastnight. I didnt save it as a POI, but I know where it was, and can find the location via "Brouse map" on my TTN5, and can place the cursor in approx the right place.

How do I find out what the co-ords are of the cursor, so I can submit this new camera?

Also, for information "Mobile:0530@30", (Radford Way) is a Gatso, not a mobile....but I guess I should submit this when/if I found out how to add the new camera...

Keep up the GREAT work team/members

Create a new category called, say, 'NewCam'. In Browse Map place the cursor where the camera is (zoom right in is best) and tap the Navigate icon at bottom of screen. Then Add as POI to your NewCam. If you copy this .ov2 file to your PC you can email it as an attachment to Cameras@PocketGPSWord.com just before the end of the month.

Don't forget to delete the camera from your POI afterwards because it will be duplicated when the new database comes out.

While you are emailing the above just put in the text of the email what you have written above.

OK, For MY info (So I dont loose it!)

Mobile:0530@30 should be a Gatso:@30

Added "Mountnessing Road" to "Newcam" POI @30

"Moved" Gatso:0612 to "Was Gatso:0612" in "Newcam" POI (more accurate position. @30

Gatso:4492 Currently not in service (Dont know for how long) @30 (A128 Ongar Road, near Navestockside)

Gatso:1404 should be @30 (NorthWeald)

OK, Another Question:

Why do some of the camera's show up just as a camera, no speed limits, when others indicate the speed limit?? ie the @30 bit??......is it just because "you" (The database people" havnt been told what the limits are for a particular camera?

You've answered your own question, :D

The Mobiles cameras all have the same icon, unless you use the alternatives.

Hi,

The links above refer to ...gpsWORD.com
I think you'll find it works better with ...gpsWORLD.com
i.e. cameras@pocketgpsworld.com (I hope I've typed that in correctly :-))

Cheers, Alan.

Thumbs Up Cheers! Clap

Hope the locations make sence!!

Another Q:

I now do the "Add Fav > Current GPS position" trick.....

BUT...What does it use as "Current Position"????..

Ie from when I first touch the screen to get to the menu, or the postion logged when you actually get round to tapping "currnet GPS postion"???
If I'm doing 70mph whislt making the selection, I've travelled a fair'ol way by tthe time I've finished tapping the screen etc.....

The co-ordinates are logged when you tap the 'current GPS position'.
