|
|
Hi I have updated my TT go to the latest software v5.420, and was working fine, I just purchased and downloaded the lastest GB map (200Mbs worth) which it says is Great Britian Plus, after a reboot I am unable to enter the activtaion code, I assume it need's the space in between the three lots of five characters, but there is NO keyboard option to enter a 'space'.
I went to ttcode.com and obtained my activation code which I already had anyway and their page shows a keyboard with a space, but mine don't have one..... HELP!!!!!!......

I don't think it matters if the space is there or not.
If it does, try a hyphen or other punctuation. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

the new map are separate maps from you may need to acivte the original map on the go after the update and then acivate the newer map _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

They are indeed seperate maps, but I assume the activation code is entered as it is displayed xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx ie with a space inbetween, I do not have a space key on my go keyboard I have 1-0 and A-Z and a full stop, there is no space option!!
So everytime I enter the code it is not accepted as I assume it needs the space.
The page on ttcode.com where it shows me my activation code has an image of the keyboard, there it shows you the keys with a space key!
So until I can phone them Monday I'm stuffed! _________________ Regards Steve :-) |

My device is registered as a ttgo as that is what it is, the display that shows on the ttcode.com website is I presume of a PDA but never the less it has a space option and there are spaces in between the code I have to enter.
I have entered the correct product code off the CD label, the device code is recognised as that being of my ttgo it gives me the activation code which I enter, but without the spaces and does not recognise it.

You should not use the product code that came with the GO CD, but the code you received with the downloaded map.
Spaces are not needed, you can use dots as well, as long as you don't exceed the 17 characters. But only the 15 character code without codes will work too. _________________ GO1005

The Plus Maps come with Street Level mapping of the United Kingdom as well as the Major Roads of Europe if I recall rightly.
I prefer to keep them seprate to be honest (GB and seprate MROE) makes the lists smaller when searching for towns in the uk. |
