Hi all, I’m new to the forum, however I’ve been flicking through it for a couple of months and found it useful for things like fixing the stuttering muppet Jane on my tomtom software after installing speed camera poi's

Any chance anyone on here can help with a problem I have with the battery life on my mobile phone, when I have the tomtom software mmc installed?
With the tomtom multi media card installed in my phone my battery last for no time at all, even when its not on blue tooth being used as the sat nav system. I thought that it was my phone (nokia 6600) but that is not the case as the mrs phone (nokia 6260) does the same thing i.e. battery flat after 6 hours ish with the mmc in place.

Any info appreciated

Steve

Are you sure you are closing TT down properly.

When I first had it on my 6600, I used to come out of TT by pressing the red button (battery went flat very quickly). This exits the programme but doesnt close it.

If you press and hold the blue button, it will show you which programmes are still running. if the TT logo is there you havent closed it properly.

To exit the programme on TTM 5, you press buttons 6-6-5 and wait for it to switch to the Main Menu screen (this can take a few seconds).

On TTM 3/4, I belive its 6-5

I hope this helps, Keith

Keith how clever are you!! I think you might have cracked it – think that’s what I’ve been doing wrong all the time, I’ve just put the card back in the phone, went into TT then came out of it the way you said – fingers crossed the battery will still have some life left in it in the morning

Thanks again fella

Is there a way of telling what programs are still running on a P910i?

I can see I'm going to have to read the destructions! Laughing

Just make sure you exit using 6-6-5 and not any other method, my phone will last a maximum of 2 hours with TomTom running before the battery dies!
