This maybe the same sort of problem that I had with mine. It wasn’t a problem with the PDA/Bluetooth, however with TomTom and the GPS. The way round it for me was after switching on the Bluetooth and activating it on the PDA, go into TomTom and calibrate the GPS device as a serial one rather than a GPS. For some reason this worked for me. However I cannot promise anything. Best of Luck. |

How are you setting up the GPS in TT, if you select "other wired GPS" then the correct baud speed and on the final screen select the Bluetooth port that your unit uses - its strange selecting wired when you are using BT but it does work - Mike |

To update you on the full story
It was running fine and gps ok
what i decided to do stupid me was update the activsync to version 4 this was written to the rom
i also updated the software to windows mobile 2003
i cannot get the activsync back to 3.8 and it will not le me reinstall back to windows mobile 2002 because the activsync is newer than the one i am installing.
if i could
re install 2002 and write back over the rom to 3.8 i would be ok
i just thought having the most up to date software on would improve performance.
now i have the new software on i get an error message keep coming up bttracy
the methods you both have said i have tried but if anyone can help me get back to my original state that would be great i know that works |
