Can TTN5 tell me sooner to turn left etc?

Hi all
Ive just switched from Destinator to TTN5 and think TomTom comes out on top, however I did like Destinator giving its first direction at 500 mtrs, this gave me time to get into the correct lane.TomTom gives me warning at 300mtrs .
Is there any way of extending this ?

TT timings are based on speed and give a very good advanced warning in my experience. I can't imagine I would want a warning much earlier. I have always had tiem to get in the right lane.

I have also found that TT5 gives ample warning. If I’m nipping along it tells me to turn 800 yards before the turn and if I’m going slow (built up area etc.) it tells me to turn about 250 yards before the turn. And I always glance at the screen after one change of direction and the display shows me the next change of direction and the distance to it even if its 20 miles away. Plenty of time to get into the correct lane.

yup me to ,and if anything on motorways it could do with shortening ,what feature i do like is the it gives what coming up after the 1st command ,it is surperb in london when you need that extra time to get across quickly
