I have recently returned to CPL5 from TTN5 as I miss the TTS turns, but I can't stand the intro speech. I have seen it somewhere but cannot find it through the "search" facility in the forums. How do I delete The "welcome to copilot"message at startup |

Its in your Windows folder called CPWelcome.wav
You can delete it, rename it or replace it with another wav file. _________________ --Ken

Sometimes I think this forum takes itself, just a little bit to seriously.....
So, just for a laugh, does anyone have any, relevent or not, suggestions for an alternative start-up wav.

How about a quote from the Iraqi Minister of Information for a start up sound?

Yes, those lying, imperialistic dogs have lied to you again. They have told you that there are bugs in CoPilot but we do not have any such bugs!
Those bugs are not even within 100 miles of this program. The bugs are committing suicide because they have been shamed and Allah will roast their stomachs in hell.
Look around. Do you see the bugs they claimed were here? No! But we will be sending them in so many directions that their weak and stupid drivers will scream for our mercy. And we will show those drivers no mercy whatsoever. We will show no mercy because those drivers who sent you looking for the bugs deserve no mercy.
Do not be deceived any longer. Do not believe the lies that pour out of the mouth of the wicked. The great satan sends you looking for bugs that do not exist because he is confused and lost. |

we could get a recording of PONDEROUS saying "If I were you I'd launch a class action against ALK, Dave and the whole of the PocketGPS forum"
Or for GB we need a classic Marvin quote. _________________ --Ken

Or for GB we need a classic Marvin quote. | I always thought that Ponderous was Marvin posting under a pseudonym. _________________ Ian

Right actor, but it was in Clockwise - when his Headmaster character was on the way to "the University of Norwich".
Funny that such reverence towards me should have reminded you of this obscure British film. Actually (really), when you were complimenting me on one of my posts, you reminded me of a less obscure American film - whose principal character was one Dirty Harry. I seem to remember you referring to one of my procedures as "fancy". Since then, I've pictured you blowing smoke out of a sixgun and driving your car through a shop window. Suppose Copilot wouldn't be running?? |

Apologies.
My poor editing led me to spoil my most recent post by missing my suggestion for an opening phrase for Copilot 6. Here it is, for what it may be worth.
D'ya feel lucky, punk... well, do ya?[/b]
No reflection intended on my prediction of the likely quality of the software!! |
