Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I couldn't find a forum for Symbian Mobiles on here!

I'm currently running Route 66 on a Series 60 mobile (siemens sx1) with a bluetooth gps and it works fine.

What I'm looking for is some standalone software which will either give me GPS functionality with standard UK OSGB coordinates, or failing that a conversion routine for the phone which will convert from long/lat to OSGB coordinates.

Trying to use the long/lat references to navigate on Uk maps is driving me mad and I can't seem to find any GPS software for symbian which will give me OSGB datum.

Thanks for any help

sorry i cannot help you there i dont know any company that will provide OS maps on Symbian as yet. You might want to ask www.memory-map.com and see if they know anyone doing it.

Sorry - it wasn't the actual maps I was looking for (although that would be nice javascript:emoticon(':D') ) - but just some way of seeing the OS grid reference e.g SP 84000 35550 etc....

There is a Route 66 for mobiles forum, it is just hidden right down the bottom; look for 'GPS Mobiles'

It's not really a route 66 question - I've got no problems with that but Route 66 can't display OSGB coordinates - what I'm looking for is a piece of software with GPS functionality that gives OSGB coordinates - something like smarthiker for the microsoft smartphone platform but for series 60!
