Hi, I've just purchased TT5 for my MDA Compact and have a couple of queries. I did a search but couldn't find much info on this topic - but feel free to point me to a thread if it's already been covered....
We drove to Bruges via Calais...how do you navigate across borders? I wanted to set the course in Calais directly to Bruges in Belgium.
Do I have to change maps at the border? Or by installing France Plus does it cover major routes in other countries? (Would have tried some options but it's a long story about the laptop dying in the chunnel and having a 1 year old in the backseat...).
Also - interested in how people manage their maps? I've transferred all the maps to My Documents on the PC so I can quickly transfer to a CD card. I have a 512mb SD card so generally will have to choose which maps I take to Europe. How do others manage this?
Thanks in advance.

If you use a plus map you can plot a route using major roads across borders anywhere in Europe. Then change to the specific country map when you are near your destination for the full street level mapping

I have a 1GB card with all the maps I'm likely to use on including one Plus Map (in my case Benelux Plus) for drives from, for example, Dunkerque to Moenchengladbach, then as Robin2 has advised, once inside the country of destination I change to the street level map for detailed routing - it doesn't take long to do.
I've found that even the Major Roads of Europe are reasonably detailed, even routing to a destination in a very small French village. |

Thanks for the replies...think I've got a good excuse to buy a 1GB SD card now.... |
