I have only been a TomTom 500 owner for 2 days.
In that time I have set up the system, configured it to my liking, set up the hands free, added POI's and extra voices.
What's so good about that?
It was ALL done with advice gleaned from these boards.
(I'm usually hopeless at this sort of thing)
Thank you to everyone that takes the time to share.
I know where to come if I have any problems.

Absolutely, that's excatly why we started this web site.
PocketGPS was started because a group of us had bought first generation PocketPC GPS solutions and there were no sites or groups to discuss them and their problems in.
A small but thriving Yahoo Group has now evolved into this with 2 million+ visitors each month. It's taken on a life of its own!! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Still going strong.
I have now added the Speed Cameras.
One question.
My TomTom 500 Go has what appears to be quite a small SD card - storage size I mean not actual dimensions.
Are all SD cards the same dimentions, like if I buy at 1Gb card, will it fit, will I have any problems with it.
I have already backed up the SD card that I have.
Will it just be a matter of linking up the new card to my computer and adding a copy of the back up file onto it?
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

As a new TTG300 owner, yes you can - its exactly what I've done. Copied the original SD, bought a 512MB in anticipation of getting the europe maps CD, copied the backup to the 512 and put this in the TTG and the original SD in a safe place just in case. |

SD is a standard (of sorts), regardless of capacity the form factor remains the same. _________________ Darren Griffin |
