|
|
I use the PocketGPSWorld safety camera database. I have noticed that the distance indication to the next camera at top left lags behind the displayed position. For example, it might show a Gatso is 25 yards ahead when the arrow (correctly) shows that I have passed it.
I don't have any other POIs switched on, and don't suffer from the jerky display that others have reported

I find this is I have too many POI categories set for warnings. On my 1715 the display of cameras is fine if I stick to the generic categories, but if I break those categories down by speed, then the POIs are displayed too late. |

In my case I don't have them subdivided into speeds. so I only have one POI category for Gatsos, one for mobiles etc

How many other POI categories do you have though?
Are any set for proximity alerts?
How many POIs in any additional categories?
If I stick with just the camera categories with alerts I don't see lag on a 1710.
If I add one additional category for alerts with 7000 POIs I see terrible lag, even though there was no lag with TT4 which had the same POI and alert system and the same 3D graphics system. |

No other POIs are activated.
The effect I described also occurs when the route demo is operating, and the stored route has Gatsos in it
