Used to use MS Autoroute on a laptop (now learnt that pda's are better and lighter ). But one thing that I miss is the ability to do a route from A to C via B. Cant find this function. Or should I just arrive at the waypoint B then recalc a route to C.

Thanks

Paul

Neither TTNav nor SmartST offer a 'via' option when routing so I simply navigate to B and then once i have arrived at B navigate to C. Not ideal but straightforward enough. If it's easier you could save the waypoints in a custom POI file for quick access on-route?

It would be a good selling point if TomTom implemented waypoints. It is so much easier to define a preferred route using intermediate points as opposed to setting avoids on roads to acheive the desired route. Repeated use of the TTN Alternative route... sometimes works, but it is a bit of a sledge hammer

I keep looking at http://www.mrwaypoint.com/ but the program is still at the beta stage (and having problems by the look of the message on the website).

Since TTN remembers recent locations, I just plan my 'A to B's' and don't bother with setting up POI's.
