tomtom kit windscreen mounting

Hi,

I have a tomtom mounting kit that is currently stuck (very firmly) to the windscreen. I`d like to move it to the side of the windscreen but it wont budge. I`ve flicked down the switch at the base expecting this to release it but it doesnt move. How much force to I need to give this to move, and if it comes off will it remount ok?

With the lever in the release position it should be easy to remove the suction cup - mine hasa small plastic tag on one side to make it easier to gently pull one edge away from the glass. Unless you damage it it should stick fine on a new piece of clean glass.

there is also a little tab on the clear sucker that you can lift slightly to allow the air in to aid removel

Didnt see the tab as it was underneath, managed to get it off ok. :D
