|
I've just bought one of these and I can't get it working with my HP 4700 and TomTom 5.
I have set it up as "Other Bluetooth GPS" and when it asks "GPS is connected to:" I select "Bluetooth Serial Port COM 5:" The manual on CD falls a long way short of helping the user to set it up properly but I would have thought it was straight forward. I just can't see what's wrong in the settings. I have a Bluetooth shortcut setup in Bluetooth manager on my PDA under My Shortcuts and it's listed as FTECH-SPP SPP Slave. I hold my pointer down over it and select connect and I get the two green arrows.
The GPS unit appears to be working ok and it's LED's are fashing as expected but I can't pick up anything. I've had it outside for over 30 minutes now and not a hint of a satellite.
What am I doing wrong? _________________ Bazza

I seem to remember other folks using non Tom Tom BT GPS's having to set TT to 'Other cabled NMEA GPS' and point to the BT port from there. |
