I am new to gps and I was wondering if someone could help me out with my alignment problem. At times it appears to be fairly accurate, however I have run accross a few instances where I know the track and position of a waypoint are not matching up perfectly with the map (streets and destinations). I assume I need to do something with the datums. Right now the primary and secondary are both set on: WGS84.
I don't think the problem is one of datums. there will always be minor inaccuracies on the GPS as new satalites are found and old ones dropped, overhead cover, the availability of WAAS or EGNOS, to name but a few.
unless your device is extremely off the mark, I wouldn't worry to much.
