I have bought the USA maps on SD card for my upcoming holiday in Florida for my TTGO 300.After I have used them on my holiday can I sell the card on or is it linked to my Tom Tom.
This is a hypothetical question really as I will probably keep the maps anyway but I would like clarification. |

Did you have to activate the maps before they would work? [By which I mean logon to TT's activation site, input the map product code and your TTG's device code - and receive an Activation Code which you had to type into TTG]
If YES, the map will be linked to your TTG - and anyone buying it from you probably* wouldn't be able to get a new activation code for their own TTG. If NO, there shouldn't be a problem.
* I say 'probably' because some people claim that you can activate a map on more than one device provided there is a long time interval between activations - but I'm not sure whether that's true. _________________ Roger

i know there are usually 3 activations on the pda versions on tomtom 5
an in inital acctivation a second after 7 days in case you have to reinstall to differnet device and a 3 after 180 days i think though i dont know if this applies to the go maps _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Thanks for the replies,
I didn,t have to activate the maps via the website-I just put the card in.
Just clears things up a bit for me. |
