Ok until 2 days ago I didnt want sat nav and didnt feel I needed it. Then I had to do overtime (which I didnt want to do) in a car with satnav on a pocket pc. Thought it was great. So now I've decided I must have it and as I normally use a tungsten T3 I think I am going to go for the tom tom navigator

Ok newbie question time
When I buy it will it have the most up to date software?
If not will I have to pay extra?
Is postal codes and speed cameras included in update?
Is there anything else I should be downloading?
Thanks for your help
(have read thro numerous posts here but still not sure) |

The most up-to-date version of TomTom Navigator suitable for your Palm is Navigator 5 Bluetooth. This comes with the postcode search option, for speed cameras you can either get that via TomTom Plus for a free or you can use the free speed camera POI database from this site ;)

thanks tazuk - most helpful.
So as I understandit v4 can be upgraded for free to v4.4 which allows safety camera poi's. (not sure re postal codes). For 59 euros from the to tom site I can then get v5 which has newer maps and postal codes.
Is this right? |
