Upgrading WM2003?

Million dollar question.

Is it possible to upgrade `Windows Mobile 2003` on the MDPNA100 to `Windows Mobile 2003 second edition`?

Officially, only if the manufacturer or supplier of the unit provides it.

Windows Mobile is an OEM product which is only provided to manufacturers, and may well be modified/tweaked for that particular installation. There is no retail product/upgrade.

Unoficially, that is another matter (to which I don't know the answer), but beware, it is essential that you have the ability to return to the official installation if it goes wrong/doesn't work.

No worries mate. I am not planning of unoficially tweaking the content of the ROM or mess anything about.

What I am worrying about is that Medion is so very quiet. It's starting to appear to me that Medion is selling the MDPNA100, but is not exactly willing to provide any updates.

For instance, v4.75 of the navigator I assume is a bug-fix release. How the hell go I get hold of this version? I'm operating on v4.4 of the navigator.

Another good question is if the original Navigon Mobile Navigator as sold directly by Navigon (version 5) will work on the MDPNA100. I may ditch the Medion branded version of the software and go to source if Medion ends up being unwilling th help.

I've already e-mailed a few queries over several weeks and I'm not getting any replies.
