i am having difficulty using tomtom 5 navigaytor on my MDPPC150.
i have installed the software however it says "NO VALID GPS SIGNAL FOUND"
im using settings gps connect : NMEA-0183 |

with GPS baud 4800
serial cable on COM 1 ( i have an internal antenna on this pocket pc)
anyone help

mine works ok with the same settings, only thing i cant get working is the signal strength meter.it picks up the sat's but i have no idea how many. |

Try the Mio 168 settings. Other - NMEA, Baud - 4800, On SP2.
If not try TomTom GPS. |

Thanks tried all that and something seems to happen with the SP2 but left to run for over 30 mins but nothing....???????????? |

The same thing would apply if you hadn't used the device for several days or you moved a long way away from your last position with the unit off.
On the Mio 168 there was a small blue/yellow spinning ircle to indicate it was searching for a signal.
Are you going outside under an unobstructed sky? Indoors on in a car, especially with an athermic windscreen, you may not get a lock. |
