|
|
hi, those who read the first part will know I could not get her to say "yards" , I was going to the screen where you could choose either Jane or Lori and pressing the test button, where either would say "in 300 metres" and so on.... just been out with the TTG and they are saying "yards" , could i ask someone to check theirs by pressing the voice test screen and seeing if they say yards or metres, this all could be operator error on my part.. hope this all makes sense ....thanks |

So you're saying that it was just the demonstration phrase that was worrying you?
Glad its OK now. |

Haven't got Go but TTN5. However, if it's any use (there might be similarities), in TTN5 the demo in Change Voice always mentions meters. So, if you choose Jane or anyone else there, she'll demo in meters. However, if in Set Units you have selected Miles as your option of measurement, the voice will come up trumps out of demo mode.
So in TTN5, its the choice made under Preferences/Set Units option that tells Jane (or any other voice) whether to speak in yards/miles or meters/km. Hope that makes sense. |

No probs. Now I'll try to learn how to distinguish the spelling of a measurement as a opposed to a measuring device! Meter indeed! |
