Hi,
I have an XDA IIs which I have just managed to get O2 to replace for free as I thought it wasnt working properly. It keeps hanging whilst in use, mainly in use of tomtom. It seems now that maybe its the software problem (ive seen lots of stuff on this forum about it)
Im not sure which version I have or which updates I need.
The box and CD says TOMTOM Navigator Great Britain but doesnt mention which version (3,4,5 etc)
I dont get the keyboard problem, just the hanging/crashing.
Should I use the tomtom5 uupdate? |

you need to install the 3.07 update from the tt website to correct the gps problem, as far as the hanging up of tt, it is because of the phone cell in the xda! bare with me and i will look for the thread explaining how to disable the phone whilst navigating with tt other than that it could mean you upgrading to tt5 with the tt5 update |

cant find the thread but if i remember rightly you need to start tt then turn on flight mode which also turns off bluetooth but this can be reativated by tapping turn on bluetooth and then ok which after a couple of taps should start your bluetooth again for you to start navigating again!
hope that was clear enough for you |

The flight mode workaround only applies to xda2i, not xda2s.
To fix the freezing with xda2s you need to put it into 'corporate' mode.
1. hard reset
2. at the end of the custom installs you'll see a screen giving you a choice of corporate or personal
3. choose corporate (need to be quick as it will only stay on screen for 5 secs then go into personal)
4. enter pin 0506 and tap finish
You'll need to reinstall tomtom again, but make sure you get the 3.07 update from the tomtom site. |
