hi,
some stupid s.o.b decided to smash my car window and take my car audio and while at it took my gps receiver from the glovebox.
i am in urgent need of a quick replacement as i have a trip on friday.
i checked fleabay and found:
BT-77 Bluetooth GPS Receiver with Nemerix Chip for £58
http://www2.propichosting.com/Images/421548908/25.jpg
or
FZ x50 BLUETOOTH DDS GPS RECEIVER for £60
http://www.messiahmod.com/bluetooth_20_hours.gif
the insurance should cover my loss but in the meantime need a receiver asap. out of the above two which is the better buy? i will hook it upto a nokia 6600.
thanks, |

Hiya mate,
Sorry to hear of your unfortunate loss. Hope their b*ll*x shrivel up and drop off !
Anyway, I have the first GPS receiver you mention and I got mine from eBay from a seller called inter-activeinformation. They are a very good company and I would highly recommend them. Ordered mine on a Saturday night, received it Tuesday morning.
Check out their current listing here....

It works an absolute treat with both my 6600 and 6680 and TTM5.
Hope that helps,
Rob. |

If you're talking about the BT-77, then yes, so did I, which is why I sought this one out |

Yep - it's a great little unit. I'm using it with a Nokia 6600/TTM5 too. I understand (but haven't checked) that the battery in the BT77 is the same type used in the Nokia 3650/3660 - which are really cheap on eBay and perfect as a backup.
Buy one - you won't be disappointed :D |

Just purchased on of these off EBay - it's nice and small.
Shame no magnetic mount :-(
