Recently, I was in W Bridgford (Nottts) and wanted to get to Nottingham Ikea. My 700 routed me through Nottingham centre which is not the best way to go. The route I wanted was via M1, but I couldn't see how to tell TTG to do this.
Is it possible? It seems pretty fundamental to be able to route via a particular road.

Sorry, but that is my point! How do you tell it to go via a road? I may be being stupid here, but I can't see a way, and Tomtom support told me that it can't be done!
There are no options in 'travel via' that allow inputting a road name that I can see, but......

If you want to travel via a Motorway Junction, try the Mway.ov2 which you can download from http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/oldboy/TomTomPOI/MWay.zip it only does Motorways and Ax(M) roads. _________________ Richard

1) Do the usual "Navigate to...."
2) Press "Done"
3) Go to main menu page 2 and press "Browse map"
4) Use the pull/drag/zoom etc facilities to home in and select the road/loaction you want.
5) Press the "Cursor" button (second from the right, looks like four blue triangles grouped into a circle)
6) Press "Travel Via"
Sorted!
As a word of caution, it's worth focussing right in on roads to select a specific point on a road or a junction. Remember than the device treats a dual carriageway as two separate roads! _________________ Regards,
