Tom Tom version 4.400 loss of home/favourites
Apologies if this is 'old hat' for you people but I'm really struggling to get my HPrz1710 package to remember home and favourites locations.
I have tried soft resets, re installing the maps, I have even had a new SD card from Tom Tom and the sodding thing still won't behave. I have read with interest the article with the .cfg file and removing the read only option but can't find it in this version. The nearest I can get is the actual Great Britain maps folder iteself on the card, but this does not allow you to remove the read only option. Any of you good people any ideas as I have now lost the will to live.

Two solutions to try:
1. Use activesync and copy .cfg to computer, then go to properties and remove read only then copy back to SD card. Check all is ok by looking at properties on the file using activesync and make sure there is no check mark now against it as being read only.

2. Delete the .cfg file from the map folder. Start TTN and a new one will be auto generated and this will be able to be written to.

Thanks very much for your quick reply. I have a had a lok at this one before after re-installing the maps from the CD rom but cannot find any file with a .cfg extension either anywhere on the SD card on on the device ?!!
