What are your GPS settings ?
From memory, you should choose a "Nema" gps, at a baud rate at 9600 or higher, and select "GPS on Navigator". Leave it alone with a clear view of the sky for a couple of minutes if you're starting the machine for the very first time. It should present you a fix within the first 2~5 minutes.
After that, it will be faster. |

As addition, I've noticed neither the Yakumo Alpha, the Delta, the DeltaX or the N35 have troubles getting through a shielded windshield.
In respect to sensitivity, it's something like
DeltaX > Delta 300 > Alpha == N35.
Note that the DeltaX has received a SirfIII update yesterday (it's on the Yakumoe website), which solves the "jetlag" problem reported by users of SirfIII based devices. |

hi,
or else you can try re-installing ur device. did u make sure the antena is fully extended to 90 degrees?
first time will take some time... it will appear painfully slow, but should get quicker later on.
best of luck |

OK further to yesterdays message, the Yakumo Delta X web page now has the ENGLISH ROM upgrade complete with instructions in English! Hurrah
What's more it solves the satellite problems, well done Yakumo! (pity the tech support don't answer emails though) |
