Stitching Maps

As I understand it, the Plus maps incorporate the MRE of TT3 but country maps need to be switched manually when crossing borders. If this is the case then I see little value in the Plus maps to me. Recently on a tour through the Ardennes I drove in and out of Belgium and France every few minutes and got lost!!.

It seems to me that it cannot be beyond the wit of man to write a utility which would stitch say the French & Belgium Maps to make a composite map to be used for such a tour. This could be done on the PC and transfered as required.

I suspect that without knowing the innards of TT5 it will be impossible to judge but I would be interested to hear other views.

it's more a licensing (and intellectual property) issue than anything else.

the maps have an extremely complicated structure, and you would need avery powerful machine to recompile maps.

The GO700 has a seamless map of all of Europe...
