What is M1000 as to the SPV range?

If you can connect the ipaq 38/3900 cable then it is probaly SPV3?
Ipaq cable is definite the wrong cable. You were lucky not to have damaged your phone if you connected power to it.

You need a cable for XDA. It will work.
