XDA 2 and TomTom 5 & a BT-338 - Cable trick doesn't work

Hi, i Have installed my TomTom 5 on my XDA 2. I paired my XDA 2 with my BT-338 with my XDA 2 first, and then went to select it in TomTom 5 but wasn't sure of the COM port, so just selected a random one.

Then went out, and couldn't figure out where to find out which is the outgoing COM port. It just doesn't seem to be connecting with the BT-338, despite pairing it. The bluetooth light flashes every three seconds on the GPS receiver and the green light is blinking. Help me out

If your BT-338 is properly paired then the blue light will pulse every second. Every 3 seconds means it's on stand-by. Try using COM port 8. This works on my SPV M2000.
