Hi, err... what software are you using?
What exactly is the problem - is it with POI sync or just camera warnings in general?
More info if you want help I think... |

I presume you are running TomTom 5 - here are the instructions from the start:
1) download http://www.pocketgpspoi/downloads.pocketgps_uk_sc.zip
2) Save this file on your main PC and unzip it. (This file contains the Safety Camera details for several different types of software, so you will not need all of the files.)
For TT, you will only need the folder "ov2 BMP files"
3) Open the folder "ov2 BMP files". you should find the following files:
pocketgps_uk_gatso.bmp
pocketgps_uk_gatso.ov2
pocketgps_uk_redlight.bmp
pocketgps_uk_redlight.ov2
pocketgps_uk_specs.bmp
pocketgps_uk_specs.ov2
pocketgps_uk_mobile.bmp
pocketgps_uk_mobile.ov2
pocketgps_uk_temp.bmp
pocketgps_uk_temp.ov2
pocketgps_continental.bmp
pocketgps_continental.ov2
The ov2 files contain all the data as to where the cameras are.
The BMP files are the images that get displayed on the screen
4) Copy all of these files onto your Axim 50X, into the same folder that contains your UK Map. (folder: Great_Britain_Plus-Map or Great_Britain-Map)
5) Start TT5 on the X50.
6) Tap screen open menu system
7) Tap "Change Preferences" and ensure that the POI is switched on (If it is on, there will be a red cross over it with the words "Hide POI"
8) Whilst in "Change Preferences" scroll thorough the pages until you find "Manage POI" and then Tap on it.
9) Tap on "Enable/Disable POI" and make sure there is a tick against all of the Points of Interest you want displayed.
Then, whilst in "Manage POI":
10) Tap on "Warn when near POI" and scroll down to the items you want audio warnings. I will explain how to set up one item, for other items, repeat instructions from 10) onwards...
11) Scroll down until you find the first camera and tap on it.
12) The default warning is 273 yards - I change this to 400 yards and tap on "Done"
13) Scroll through and choose a warning sound - I select "Beep 1" as this is quite distinctive. Once you have tested and chosen you warning sound, tap "Select"
14) I tick "Warn only if POI is on route?" and then tap "Done"
If you need to set up more audible warnings, go to 10) above and when you have them set up carry on again from 15) below.
15) Tap "Done" to exit "Manage POI"
16) Tap on the Navigation map to get back to the "Main Menu" again and scroll to page 2.
17) Tap on "Browse Map"
18) At the bottom, tap on "Options" and make sure "POINTS OF INTEREST" is ticked.
19) Tap "Done" to exit "Options"
20) Tap "Done" to get back to the Navigator map
21) Go for a drive by known camera spot and confirm all is working well...
22) Your cheque to...... :D :D :D _________________ Axim X50 & TT5, Arkon CM820 powered mount with built in sirf2 gps
